About
Hi, I am Zane and this is my blog about the mountain bike riding I do. I am based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have been mountain biking since 1987. I used to race and have done a lot of riding here in NZ and have worked as a mountain bike guide around the world for a number of years. These days I love getting out on epic back country single track and don’t mind a bit of hike-a-bike to access great bits of track. I do some work as a mountain bike skills coach for http://www.mtbskillsclinics.co.nz/ and love mountain biking.

Hi
Enjoy reading your blog and love the photos. At first I thought you were local with all the UK place names but alas I’ll not be seeking out your trails during a weekend trip!
Cheers

Hi Mike,
Glad you like the blog! I can see how the names would get confusing. I think the first few boat loads of British were a bit home sick and there are UK place names scattered all over NZ. I would recommend taking at least a month to seek our trails if you wanted to come all the way from the UK!

Can you tell me who the guy is on the yellow gearbox bike? I would like to talk to him about the frame.

That would be Richard Goldsbury riding an ASP frame. Alfine hub driven. Made here in Chch.
